The forks have threaded shanks and will screw in the box tops. Frequency of each is A (426). One fork is fitted with a sliding mass to alter its frequency. On sounding both forks, a clear 'beat' is produced. Supplied with one hammer. Size of box 180 x 88 x 53 mm approx.

The versatile apparatus is used for studying the concepts of wave motion and can be used as a demonstration model with an overhead projector. With four legs attached to the underside of the tank, it can also be used as a freestanding bench model. A gantry is supplied for supporting a motor beam the height of which is adjustable for best experimental observations and results. Ripples are produced by a small 3 to 4.5 V DC motor mounted on the plastic beam. A cam fitted to the motor spindle produces oscillations which leads to ripples in water in the tank. Metal uprights are provided to carry a horizontal rippler support and which can be adjusted in height with the help of screws, easily and precisely. The rippler Assembly elastically suspended from the horizontal support rod, consists of a low voltage DC motor mounted on a wooden / plastic beam. The motor is fitted with an Eccentric mass, which causes beam to oscillate. Additional point contact sources are provided by two plastic spheres each mounted on a right angled metal shafts which when fitted to the beam, may be adjusted to required separation.
An adjustable rod fixes centrally into a socket in one side of the Frame and affords support for the illuminant.

Comprising a wooden resonance box of 114 cm length, 12.5 cm width and 10 cm height, with two rules 1 meter long sub-divided into millimeters. One each brass and steel wire of different diameter attached to fixed bridge and tensioned by fine adjustment pegs, two moveable bridges, pulley and fixed screw to enable a third wire to be fixed for tensioning by masses. One each additional wire of steel and brass, each 1.5 m long and of 22 SWG.

Motorised Stroboscope is a useful device for the teaching of the stroboscopy. The hand driven discs and are difficult to keep at a constant speed. The motor driven stroboscope has an inbuilt speed control and maintains constant speed reasonably well. Supplied with a set of 3x discs with 4, 8 and 12 slots. A blank disc permits the creation of a disc in the classroom. The unit can be supported on a retort stand with a bosshead. Runs from either AC or DC up to 12V. maximum.
