The Bourdon Gauge uses the elastic deformation of a curved Bourdon tube to indicate pressure on a calibrated dial. As pressure enters the tube, it tends to straighten slightly, and this movement is transferred to the pointer to produce a readable measurement. The instrument provides a practical way to study pressure measurement, elastic deformation, and mechanical response to fluid or gas pressure in laboratory demonstrations.
